The Metal Scholar's Weekly Listening List (27th October 2020)

Apologies For My Absence This Week

Yes, normal life hasn't gotten in the way this week, significantly stunting my output. With it being the half term in the UK and some people having holiday my hours have increased and my sleeping pattern is out of the window as a result. On the plus side I have more money to spend on Black Stone Cherry march and craft beer. I have also been pondering with various musical ideas and riffs, which has taken up a large proportion of my time as well. Even so, I will aim to get some more content out to you guys in the next week, as I have missed the joy that writing gives me! Whilst we're here, Witchwood Wizard & The Psychic Yeti are running a Hallowe'en free album giveaway competition, just guess the horror movie themes in the video to be entered into a prize draw to get a free download code for debut album, Deep Rooted Black Magick, Facebook link is in the sidebar. As 2020 continues to slowly rumble on towards its conclusion (thank god), I will probably start to consider my albums of the year candidates, with plenty more still to come over the next two months it's going to be a difficult one, so with that in mind, let's crack on to this week's lists!

Throwback Of The Week

Considering that Black Stone Cherry are realising a highly anticipated new album on Friday, I have been listening to a lot of their albums on loop. Reliving the memories I have with the music and how much they mean to me, the new singles are awesome and it had been phenomenal to watch this band grow over the last 10 years of my life. So, this week's throwback was an absolute no brainer for me, the album that started it all;

Black Stone Cherry (🇺🇸) - Folklore & Superstition (originally released on Roadrunner Records), Hard Rock
