A New Hope! Do We Dare To Dream?

With the government announcement yesterday they thought of possibly attending a gig this year has me buzzing! Whilst there is a part of me that feels like we are going to be massively let down by the time we get there, having something to look forward to feels so refreshing and now I can work to a date, so I best get moving on my lockdown patch jacket...Anyway, it feels great to be seeing a light at the end of this horrifically long tunnel and to resume some sort of normality. It will be strange though and it will be interesting to see how people react to be a new found freedom but that is for future scientists to understand, I'm quite happy just knowing I can theoretically get myself on a staycation in the UK. As we all know, a change of scenery is desperately needed, but most importantly I am looking forward to being able to see friends and share pints with them again, providing there are any actual pubs left. Even so, just like my music, I love supporting the independents so I will try my damn hardest to get out to those independents that mean the most to me when I can, I just hope The Gryphon, Bristol will be ready for the train wreck that I'll become once I set foot across the threshold of my spiritual home. Anyway, I'm getting carried away and I am trying to keep my expectations low but it is so tantalisingly close now! On top of all that the sun is awakening and staying out longer! Anyway, time to get on with the tunes.

Throwback Of The Week

Possibly the ultimate stoner rock band, I was fairly new to Sleep a few years ago which is surprising considering how much I love Black Sabbath. The album that was the game changer for me is their most well known ones but it's constantly shifting directions and epic stoner riffs are just perfect. This week's throwback;

Sleep (๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ) - Sleep's Holy Mountain (Earache Records), Stoner/Doom Metal
