The Metal Scholar's Weekly Listening List (14th July 2020)

I've Been Slacking This Week

Indeed, my apologies for not having any reviews up in between editions of The Metal Scholar's Weekly Listening List! The week and a half or so back in work has played havoc with my sleeping pattern and trying to fit everything in has been a bit hectic, please bear with and I'll eventually get back into the routine of things. Anyway, its been quite a quick week, I've spent more money on books of containing epic Medieval literature and have immersed myself in some awesome music as per. Although the weather hasn't been very summery, more like autumn which is my favourite season, I have still been blighted by hay fever so I've had to stay inside for the majority of my time. I've also been having some obscure, surreal and incredibly vivid dreams again, this could have come about from the post-lockdown routine change putting stress on my mind, but some of the meanings of them have been nothing short of terrifying or thought provoking. So, I think it is safe to assume that I've had a lot on my mind this week. On the plus side, Witchwood Wizard & The Psychic Yeti have released our second single Witch, Wizard, Warlock, which you can listen to on all major streaming services! Me and Sabrina are super proud of this second single and we hope that you guys enjoy it too! Anyway, with anymore excuses, this weeks weekly listening list!

Throwback Of The Week

This weeks throwback is one that gives me lots of happy memories of my first adventure to Sheffield with my West Country Raiding Party! Hard Rock Hell Vikings is an awesome two day event and I'm hoping this years doesn't get cancelled as I have been looking forward to making my hat-trick of visits this year! As many of you know I love my Viking history and have been reading a lot of sagas, Eddas, the whole shebang really. So, this weeks Throwback is;

Turisas (๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฎ) - The Varangian Way (Century Media Records), Symphonic Folk Metal
