The Metal Scholar's Weekly Listening List (25th November 2019)
Ok, I'll Confess, I Am Starting To Feel A Little Bit Festive
As December bursts on to the scene this Sunday, I am starting to feel a little it festive. I'm not chucking on the Christmas playlists and singing Slade at the top of my voice yet, but I can feel that feeling in my gut. Enough of that though, we're still in November! So, that means we need to dethrone the spell of Wizard and give the world some more metal ammunition to fight off these pre-Christmas hooligans. There has been a lot to listen to this week for me, with Lindemann and Obsequiae's albums being personal highlights, I've also been finding releases that I may have missed throughout the year, which is also quite informative. I will stand by the statement that 2019 has been a big year for metal. Just like everyone else, I'm also hoping 2020 blows it out of the atmosphere.

Throwback Of The Week
This album was an absolute game changer for me when I heard it. It was absolutely ruthless on my young teenage mind, ripping through it at a blistering pace. My first exposure to a German metal band that wasn't Rammstein too. From start to finish it was awesome, but by favourite track Endzeit will always be one of my absolutely favourite songs to this very day. This week's throwback is;
Heaven Shall Burn (๐ฉ๐ช) - Iconoclast (Century Media Records), Deathcore
